I can't get the idea out of my head. My old epic forces include a household of Knights built out of 2 companies of Knight Errants, 2 companies of Knight Paladins, 3 oldschool 'crab' knights, 1 company artillary knights. and 2 barons. I love fielding these kickass models. They're high movement and solid armour made them indespensible against any mechanised or Titan enemy. Love 'em javascript:emoticon('');

Nowadays I mainly play 40k but the memory of those badass Knights is overshadowing the building of my burgeoning Ordo Xenos force. Can I scratch build one? What rules would I use? Do I have to field a Mechanicum force to include them. If a knight is only slightly bigger than a dreadnaught, could it be used in games under 3000pts? Or even 2000? Ooooh I'm getting dizzy!

Has anyone used Knights in 40k? Can you answer any of these questions?
Or anything to add regarding the background fluff.

All praise the Omnissiah!

As far as I know, there are no official rules for using Knights in normal 40k. Apocalypse might have something, especially since you can make up your own datasheets for them, but those games generally run an upward of at least 3000 points.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Well there is the possibility of proxying them as leman russ tanks, I've heard of people who did that I know a few places where you can find rules for knights but it's mainly for apoc games.
