So, for those of you who have seen my work, you will know that I have a penchant for Dioramas. I have a commission right now that includes a squad of Thousand Sons Chaos Space Marines and a Lord of Change. These will all be assembled in what I hope is a cool diorama; the biggest I've done, so far. I wanted to throw this out there as I put it together, and hopefully get some advice from some of the painting gurus around here. I know that there are better painters on this forum, but I am pretty proud of how this is coming out, and this represents me pushing my envelope of skill.
This first picture is of the almost-finished squad of Sons. They are fully painted except for some lighting effects I am going to add. You can see, in the front are the Sorcerer and one of the marines where that process has begun.
This project is running concurrent with my Great Imperial Guard Project, on another Thread in the P&M blogs.

Here are the finished sons, and some greenstuff work on the LOC. I'm thinking of leaving his legs off, and going for a "Summoned" Look.

I like the "Summoned" look on the LOC, and those Thousand sons are very well painted.

Thanks, I need to rework the lighting on my table. The Sons are kinda hard to see, now that I think about it. Today, I'm going to flesh out the rest of the green stuff on the LOC, and attach the rest of his parts. (I think I'm going to leave the legs off.)

Well, he is pretty much built. I did decide to leave him legless, and built up more flame around him to make him appear as if he is emerging from the warp. This will be a good center point for when the diorama takes shape.

Looking good man keep it up way better than anything i could do but things like these inspire me even more to practice and practice !

Here is the latest on the LOC. He has been primed, and I have blocked out most of the base colors. I know it is godawful looking, but it gives you an idea of where it is going....

Not seen the summoned look for a daemon before, and I must say I'm an instant convert! Can't wait to see it finished.

Here is the latest work on the LOC. I did a little collage in order to give some different angles. I've only been able to work on him for about an hour since my last post, because of the Great IG Project, and other commissions, but here he is, so far...

Ah.... Now that I have gotten the IG out of the way, I have 2 days to finish this bad boy! I am going to be putting up some Fast and Hard pics on this B-tard throughout the next couple of days. Also, my good friends at CMoN gave me a couple of suggestions on how to improve the look of the Sons. Expect an upgrade on those, as well.

Here are the latest pics. I have re-defined the eyes on the Sons, and brought the radiant glow down in hue. As for the LoC, I have about finished with the flames, and am working on building up the wings and bone parts to make them contrast with the glow. I'm a little undecided on the flames, though. They don't seem to have enough 'crispness'. I dunno, what do you think?
