Hey guys, just wanted to show my dakka fex, I painted the fex ages ago but just got round to the base now, just waiting for he's arms to arive lol

The colour scheme on the model is very bold, but I've always thought that the base should be more neutral coloured to allow the model's colouring to really shine. Is there any reason you went for the blue on the base as well?

I like the idea you've gone for but feel that perhaps the base could do with a little more neatness and perhaps less colour. The sculpt on the base however is pretty cool, are you planning on going for a city fight/rubble theme base throughout your army?

That was the effect I was after ie a ruined city theme, ive cleaned all the blue off the rubble and the pics make the blue on the rino stand out, the whole rino is washed with devlan mud, and about the chosing blue, I just like to see nids tearing UM's appart lol

You know what? I didn't see it was a rhino on the first look. That explains the blue perfectly. As for tearing through ultras with diamond hard chitin, I have nothing but sympathy. Carve on.

I love the base. I just think the Carnifex's body blue should be more different to the UM blue.

Yea, I didnt click to there being too much blue, its darker in real life but even so its still blue, at least I didnt paint it dark angles colours lol

The death spiters will be black, and if I decide to magnitise him the devourers will be orange and pink, they will be dark tho

Maby change the bule on the rhino to a realy muddy read to make the fex stand out?

Its a lot darker in real life, but its still a lot of blue though lol, but I like blood angles :(
