This has been a curiosity of mine after watching a Bell of Lost Souls battle report with 4 Rune Priests...they sucked hardcore in that game and I figured I'd try and give them a chance...here's my thought.

Not the most perfect list by any means but it seems pretty mean...4 Autocannons (technically), 3x Las/Plas Razorbacks, 10 Missile Launchers, 2 Plasma Cannons (for pesky Feel No Pain and Terminators) and 2 Lascannons because anything above armor 12 is annoying me...

Looks fine to me; I run something similar with 3 Rune Priests at 1500 points. Your Psychic power setup is perfect, and I would spend points on storm bolter as opposed to the normal one, and for just five points I would give someone a Wolf Tooth Necklace to replace the useless talisman.

Also, maybe replace the Razorbacks with rhinos so you can get wolf standards?

Why did you pay for "Chooser of the Slain" 4 times???

4 Choosers means no infiltrators on your side or theirs and also means that you will always have a boost with those

No your allowed 4 the book would say only one Chooser may be taken.

Only means if you have a Chooser with your RP then you place it before deployment. Its just like the sagas only one person can take Saga of the Warrior Born. The rules state that no other character can have that saga if it is taken.

There's nothing to stop you paying for more Choosers but they do not give you extra tokens, the condition on the army containing a chooser has been met and you receive a token, one does not receive a token for each chooser.

But that doesnt make since why would you only get to place 1 token if you pay for 4?

Because that's how it works! Hurl it into YMDC if you're really unsure, I'm just trying to stop him dropping 4 markers and having someone ask to read his codex etc

I think i would put either a stormbolter or a plasma pistol on the Rune Priest with Tempest. He would be BS 5 if his target is in the Chooser's LoS. So precisely, where do you find only a singular token? As I read the rule's infiltrate sentence uses 'a' not 'the'.

I am of the opinion that every Rune Priest can take a Chooser and make use of the one purchased for himself.While this chat is rather interesting, I believe it would end up in YMDC.

Switching to a Bolter is free so I figured I would save myself a few points there. As to switching out the Talisman for a Wolf Tooth Necklace, I may think about that so as to make at least one priest a little less boring. Switching out the Razorbacks for Wolf Standards...I'm not too sure on that one. If the Grey Hunters, Wolf Guard AND Rune Priest can't handle being tied up with whatever is out there...they should've stayed in the Rhino.

the list is solid, but I fear you will have trouble with kill point missions with all those AV11 kill points sitting out there.

18 Kill points at 2000 points is something I can live with really. Usually I'm looking at 15 kill points at 1850 so it isn't as bad as it could be.

I just don't like the "Rhino Rush" feel to it...

I played RP spam lists a good bit when the book first dropped. Sadly a few games vs Eldrad and a few messy exploded heads inside Rhinos later, I dropped down to 2 max. The list looks good though and aside from the Runes of Warding trump will win you games. Good Luck.

I know the bolters free, but since theres those pesky 3 points hanging around.... why not use them?
