Just started a new Tau army and wanted some feedback on the colour scheme I've started using.

Looking good

although there are a few things...

1. Base the figures
2. Highlight the green
3. Highlight the purple
4. More pics
5. Try adding one more colour to give it a bit more of contrast

I am going to base the figures when I've finished my Fire Warriors as I'm still not sure what basees to do them on yet. And the highlighting will come I just put the first few together to get an idea of how the colour scheme works together, might add some more blood red lines on weapon and helmets etc?

Red would be a good combination with the green... But blood red is a bit too bright. Try "Red Gore" or "Mechrite Red".

You color scheme reminds me of the Transformer Devastator from the 80's.



You should find a way for 6 of your Crisis Suits to combine into a super Crisis suit!

To answer your question though, I think slugga is right about the red gore. I would make a few rank markings on each of the models to break up the two colors. I really like what I see though. Keep us posted.

I don't think the purple of the cloth complements the green very well. I would either go with a lighter purple (more of a violet), or go with a lite gray (it looks like dark gray in the pictures). Otherwise I like it.

Thanks for pointing out to me that was purple! it looked grey.
+1 to above, Definately add the third color though. I find that more important than all the rest.

I agree the colors don't complement well, but I still like it. And hey, it's his models, if he thinks it looks good, its his thing. The one thing I would do if I went with that scheme is I would definately push the highlights on that purple. That is of course, as I already mentioned, after I added a third color to the armor, it looks a little flat/un-tau without that third color.

Have added some red onto the models and will get the purple highlighted at some point this week to make it stand out.

I've highlighted one of the models tonight on the green and purple and also some grey highlights on the gun stock. Will take pics as soon as I grab some more batteries for my camera. Hopefully this weekend

Sorry for the delayed reply, got caught up working on other projects. Here are a few more firewarriors, highlights are one the guy behind the central front one so will take some more pics soon, as for the others the are still WIP's.
