Firstly you can only have one venerable dreadnought.

Secondly, horde is good - but every squad (i see most have them) should have a power fist and a meltagun in case it runs into a dreadnought.

Lastly, id go for close combat weapons over shotguns on the neophytes, as this is where you will want to be 90% of the time.

Also, what weapons are you equipping your dreadnoughts with?

okay i wasnt sure about the dreadnoughts i might just run them with lascannons since its only one venerable and i needed to take one pfist out for points and it was originally assault cannon pfist on the dreads

it could work - i've seen BT horde perform reasonably well. You should have success against DE and Eldar with that list.

You might come unstuck against the really hardcore assault specialists, like terminators or sanguinary guard, but you can't really prepare for everything can you?

Thats the point of mass numbers and dreadnoughts to sort of tarpit units while i get things like helbrect or my champion against those units but i might switch some points around to get a command squad for helbrect but i feel the cost isnt worth it
