Well I took this List too The January Throne of Skulls and managed to win only 1 of my 5 games and as im going back in April i thought it could do with a slight revamp, All suggestions would be appreciated.

I Have three ideas:
1. A list based around Pedro kantor Maybe taking out a tactical squad and a Predator to Bulk up the First Sternguard Squad and add another.
2: A lysander List, Unfortunatly I cant seem to conjure up a list for this one, I feel like a bit of a lost sheep (Pretty Bad seeing as im Playing Fists)
3: Finally Im thinking of a Vulkan List and maybe Taking out a Predator and one Landspeeder To account for him - Making all my Meltas that bit more deadly along with The flamers. (Side note How do you use Twin Linked Flamers?)

Your list is going in two seperate directions. You need to decide if you are going to be an aggressive in your face drop pod list or a midfield dominating mech list. You can't hybridize those concepts at this points level.

I would be happy to go further, but I need to know what models you have or are willing to buy so that I don't suggest something you don't have or want.

Small adjustment to a good drop podding IF 1500 list and it goes off the models you have with some slight additions.

HQ - Lysander - 200

HQ - Librarian, TDA - 125 Null and whatever you choose as 2nd

Troop - Tac x10, MM, MG, DP - 210

Troop - Tac x10, MM, MG, DP - 210

Elite - Sternguard x10, cbM x5, DP, Locator - 325

Elite - ATerminators x9, 2xLC x2, TH/SS x7 - 360

Fast - LS, MM, HF - 70

Pretty dirty list drop Lysander with the sternguard to bolter drill and have him join up with the DS supersquad next turn. Rest of the list is pretty straightforward.

Razorlead: I have all the models from the first list at the moment and i do have a fair bit of money to spend so im open to suggestions: Themes, Well I do like the drop pod theme for the Dreads and Sternguard etc. Melta happy in my lists is usually present thats why i thought of Vulkan along with The flamers. I want to change the Predators out for something seing as they got Destroyed nearly first turn in every game i played.
LegendJRG : Can you take Lysander in a pod? (Need some clarification) looks quite a nice list though, I need to make sure i can fair quite well against other normal marines, Space Wolves and BA .
My only worry with that list is if there forces are in transports I could drop Lysander with the Sternguard and Prob blow up some Armour but then get shot at by whatever is inside.

Any batreps available?

Interesting that even with you podding in 2 dreads on T1 the enemy chose to shoot up your preds instead ...

I think that if you go heavy on melta/flamer then Vulkan is the way to go. You can always drop the sponsons on the preds - that will save some points and still leave you with 2 Armour 13 vehicles in your backfield.

You could also drop the rhino for a drop-pod for the tacs as well. That will give you 5 drops and 3 dropping on T1, so both dreads and the sternguard guaranteed.

While this idea is a bit more radical than most, lets give it a whirl.

Run as Black Templars. It would be easy to fluff them as pre-heresy Imperial Fists because its true. It also gets you into a much smaller pool for Throne of Skulls
Templars have different drop pod rules that may make your list more effective because more of it will come down at once rather than in two separate waves. Stick the EC in with any of the 9 man squads

Well with the force I gave you the stern would combat squad preferably f you have that much armor to deal with. Also yes a DP capacity is 12 and only attached members can go in them so any HQ in TDA has to be attached to that squad when it comes down. Which is actually beneficial to you for purposes of allocating wounds if you need to away from Lysander and you'll most likely be getting the termie's in as well for target saturation and with no scatter they go where they need to prevent counter assaults. If there isn't a lot of armor to deal with you have the tac squads come down first to pop transports as bolter drilling those stern for that one turn is gonna result in a dead anything but 2+ as you'll be within 12 of whatever you choose to be. I like that BT force but for passing IF off as BT to some of "those" people sounds like a headache best avoided imo though.

My question is now Im tempted to get rid of the Librarian as i cant see him fitting anywhere into this list really (Not off the top of my head anyway) Now i was thinking i could do that and Max Out the Sternguard Squad or Maybe Get rid of the Pred and using all the Points to add A Podding Tac Squad in. Or Maybe just Replacing the Pred all together and putting something else in its place once the Stern squad has been maxed out. Your thoughts are welcome. Please Comment
