Out of my mind, back in 5 minutes.

Hey everybody. I've finally gotten around to finishing up my first squad of Chaos Marines and wanted to get a project log started up over here. Chaos Marines are my first 40k army and I refuse to completely abandon them even though I found out the current codex is pretty... dull... I won't go into it any more than that here, I'll just share what I've got done. I have a blog called Maximum Heresy that I will be posting all this stuff on, but so far it's very small and doesn't have a lot of followers yet. I wanted to share it on the forums so more than 6 people would get to see my work. I plan on keeping a running index of all the updates in this first post as a reference, and I will be updating both my blog and this post as I work on my army. I'll just post a few pictures from each update in this thread to keep load times down. Of course that's my only motivation for doing so, did you think I was also attempting to increase traffic to my blog at the same time? Well, maybe a little bit but I think it's mutually beneficial in the long run.

Index of updates:
5 Jan 2011 - CSM Squad 1 WIP #1
18 Jan 2011 - CSM Squad 1 WIP #2
28 Feb, 2011 - CSM Squad 1 complete (Date this plog was originally posted)
02 March, 2011 - Finally re-finished my Greater Daemon of Nurgle - Practically Scratch Built

Without further adieu, here is the first set of pictures. Hope you all enjoy, and please don't hesitate to let me know what you think. Any and all constructive feedback is welcome.

And one from the very first set when I started logging my progress

And just for and giggles, here is my very first attempt at painting some of my black reach marines when all I knew about painting was "BLACK + COPPER = AWESOME!!!"

Hope you all enjoyed seeing my work. Catch you on the flip side.

I finally got around to fixing the scythe blade on my Greater Daemon and re-finishing the model. Full details in this blog post.

Pretty cool. The Nurgle demon made me lol but it is pretty imaginative. I like the dark metallic effect on the black legion armor.

Thanks Perkustin. If you haven't checked out the blog posts you really should. There is a lot more stuff there that you would be missing out on if you haven't looked.

The greater daemon was actually featured in Santa Cruz Warhammer Honor Roll #2 - Green Stuff which to me is a great accomplishment. I was very surprised and honored to see my work on the list.
