Thought I would start off on the forums by showcasing my latest work, looking for some honest criticism

here are some closeups of the cockpit, I used micro krystal clear glue with food coloring to dye the wing lights and the hud for the pilot

the targeting hud was coated in a pva glue called micro krystal clear mixed with green food coloring the same was done to the wing lights except with blue.

It looks very nice... I love the detail work... Personally I still don't like the bulky plasma turret but that is more of a criticism of the model itself than your paint job. Yours looks great so keep up the good work.

yeah the plasma guns look a little bulky but the turrets size makes it very easy to magnetize the weapon load-outs (I didn't bother magnetizing the melta guns because they are a free upgrade and I see no need to use the heavy bolters when you have hurricane bolters on the sides)

Very good job, I really like your detail and weathering work. Like to see what you do with the rest of your army.

No more than I would ever configure my fully modular Russ as a Punisher with 3x HBs and a Heavy Stubber; it's the dakka factor.

Your attention to detail and shading make this model look very gritty and real. Nice job.

nice work on the wing weathering and overall paint job. the only constructism criticism i'd give is maybe to add a splotch here and there of another color.... maybe on the recessed panels along the body edge. i'm personally a fan of small areas of a different color breaking up the main one.

Looks awesome,

Regarding the weathering I would think that more chipped/damage would be on the leading edges of the Raven given that a high amount of the time it would be moving forward?

one of my thoughts after seeing the final paint job, this is my first go at a blood angels vehicle, I am used to breaking up panels with different colors this time I opted to go for scorch marks to break up all the red.

and definitely on the next one I do up there will be a lot more weathering to simulate the heat from re-entry along the wings and the underside of the fuselage.

thanks for the tips!
