Hey Dakkadakka! I've been painting some Fire dragons lately and I've finished 2 so far. I decided to step away from the usual "orange and yellow" scheme and go a bit more metallic... This is the finished product! Take a look and give some advice!

Really nicely painted, like the colour scheme you went for.

Its a good paint job but I I feel you may of strayed from the usual scheme a tad far, they don't have a fire dragon feel to them at all imo.

You've got a good point and I'd try to make a valid reason why I'm so far from the intended scheme, but the truth is, I can't be bothered buying 3-4 new paints when I'm only going to use them on this one squad. Also, basically any single variation that could be made from the original yellow and orange scheme would make it seem unfiery. I figured i would go for metallics to make them look bold in the face of tanks.

They sure are bold and I don't doubt that once they start popping off melta rounds and turning tanks into steaming piles of slag that your enemies will have no doubt as to what they are! :-)

I like him, a very nice alternative to the typical reds/oranges you see.

Great work.

Nice work. Very different paint scheme compared to the conventional fire dragon.

Like the more metallic feel with your fire dragons also like to see somebody step away from the standard look and try something different. Good Job

Sick work man! The scheme makes it. I'm always happy to see people painting fire dragons in something other than the BRIGHT orange.

Nice work, the paint scheme isn't brilliant, but it's pretty good and i like the variation.

I'll agree with the majority here and say that I like the divergence from the norm. The gems look particularly well done. On a side note, the exarch looks very, disco from the back. *muses on an eldar disco ball laser weapon*
