Here is what I'm wondering, I painted up 4 boyz (cause I forgot the 5th one) and in the trukk squad of 12, 6 happen to have helmets. so I paint them random colors but the shirts and pants are pretty much the same, but I'm painting the shoulder armor and helmets some different colors just for variation red, black, and gray, 3 in this pic 2 have gray helmets and one had a red one, but the red seems to stick out real badly...anyhoo here you go and you guys can decide if I should change the red to another color

C&C? these are fantastic, the skin is really lovely, may I ask how you did it? I am not too sure about the brown helmet though.

I used the green army painter to prime them, then use reaper pale green to do the muscle then washed the whole model brown then highlight with the pale green

the second helmet it mechrite red with the devlan mud on it, so it's still red...maybe the light just picked up the wash more than the actual color...living in a basement apartment sucks lol

The fluff with orks says that they steal anything and everything to use in combat. think about it along these lines one or 2 are bound to stick out abit. personally i thing the red is a nice touch.
good job

The helmet only sticks out because it's the odd one in 4. If you get the whole unit done, and throw in a few other odd coloured helmets it'll still look cohesive.

Orks will use what they can, so cohesion isn't the be all and end all.

Great paint job!

I love 'em. I guess I could suggest pants/shirts in terms of highlights but that's (1) very picky for tabletop quality and (2) could just be a result of dark photos.

Yea I never did highlight the pants and shirts...or the leather, I figured I would leave it dark but yea those pics are kind of dark as well, I lets the wash sink into the rips and tears of the shirts to make it seem more...real?

They look great. A very neat paint job while still keeping it orky. Very good.

Glad you guys liked the pics, I'll have to go stick these into my blog that I have on here

I found it hard to paint the lite green cause it came to me so watered down...was really bad...and it's off painting in the muscle one by one...but I'm really glad you guys enjoyed them, I'm just making a 1k army to start with and then I will build from there....

and if anyone has any to paint a trukk let me know...kinda stumped on that one

I'd do the primary trukk armour the same blue you used on your boys, with wear and tear effects here and there just to tie the army together..
