Here's what kind of paint job you can achieve with an airbrush as a beginner..! this took me a day to build and paint..!!
Nothing special
1 Mechrite red
2 Bloodred
3 50/50 mix of Bloodred and blazing orange
4 boltgun metal
5 Badab black wash
6 Skullwhite
7 burnished gold

Looks great! I'm getting into airbrushing myself, so it's good to see some work from a fellow beginner.

Mate they are so,so easy only bit of advice i can offer is, thin your paints and short bursts of paint from your airbrush. I've had mine 3wks now and this is where i'm at..!
