GW CEO: Well, the Chaos Gods just revealed to me that Trump will win the US election and cause the end of the world... so what should we do?
GW Design Studio: Lets release the Sisters of Battle in plastic and a new codex that will be invalidated 2 month later when 8E drops!
GW Legal Team: But wont that cause them to be happy to see the world end?
GW Codex Department: Hmm, we can't have happy Sisters players so make the codex really bad, models more expensive than metals and a very limited production run!
GW Legal Team: YES! That will cause them to go into emotional rampage and birth the chaos gods into our realm!
GW CEO: HAIL TZEENTCH
GW Design Studio: ALL HAIL SLAANESH!!! ALL HAIL SLAANESH!!
GW Legal Team: BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!!
GW Codex Department: Hail grandfather Nurgle for blessing us with his love...

Did a mod just make the thread go off topic? Also did a mod just added something that is not news or rumours? I really hope this doesn't become like Warseer now, where we are not allowed to do things, and mods can. Please tell me Kid Kyoto make a mistake and posted in the wrong section and didn't realize it.

No I am not. I know he is a barrel of laughs. Thing is I don't want Dakka to turn into Warseer where the Mods can do what ever they want, ban people for what they are not allowed to do, and then do the exact same thing. I just hate to see this happen in Dakkadakka. The mods are so much better than they are on Warseer. Thing is, once the snowball starts rolling... as the saying goes.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Hey, look, if I get to build and (pretend I'm going to)paint plastic Sisters of Battle before our new orange overlord decides to cleanse the earth of low-energy people with nuclear fire, I'll die happy.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks
-----
"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I've seen it happen plenty of times here. Not much we can do about it except ignore it and move on.

Ollanius Pius - Savior of the Emperor

Gathering the Informations.

Regimental Standard just posted a new thing, which talks about...

While the sanctioned abhumans, for all their differences, still display a semblance of honest humanity, those foul specimens mutated by the power of the Warp or xenos taint show no such nobility. Such creatures are to be despised and hunted at every opportunity.

Key signs to watch out for are additional arms, horns and scales – all obvious giveaways of the taint of corruption.

Do:

Be prepared to fire upon such degenerates when ordered. Don’t think of them as humans – their existence is a continued heresy against the Emperor.

Don’t:

Fraternise, talk to, or look too long upon the mutant lest the taint of corruption spread to you!

This guide has been extremely helpful. You are now able to go forward with a renewed spirit of unity and make war on the heretic, together.

So...I think this might be the confirmation of Tzaangors we've been waiting for? TRS has been fairly good at cheeky previews.

I think you've misunderstood the reason I posted that picture and the text.

I'm not saying those were in fact Tzaangors.

Tzaangors were one of the "Unsanctioned Mutant" types, spawn of the Ruinous Powers.

They were in the original RoC: Lost and the Damned Tzeentch+Thousand Sons army list for 40k

Based on beastmen

There is a low-quality photo in the Lexicanum article

Ah cool. But now how do I resist starting Thousand Sons and including some Tzaangors (turns out out it is with a Z not an S, who knew?).

All Beastmen in 40k were abhumans. They were even an option in the Imperial Guard. The old Epic guard box had Beastmen in it.

Well the Silver Tower Tzaangors look more like daemons, maybe those 40k ones (if the rumors are true) could be less like beastmen as well.

The old style is great though, I would love to get them as plastic miniatures

I still have my plasma pistol and chain sword wielding, Imperial breastplate wearing Beastman.

Love that model.

The Tzaangors in Silver Tower were beastmen, but instead of human crossed with goat or ram, they were crossed with birds to fit the tzeentch theme.

The Silver Tower appear to be birdman with horned helms and hoofs, but I don't own the models so can't be sure.

They also seem to have crazy tentacle hair.

I read the lexicon entry on Tzeentch and he is described in a number of ways and possible crazy combinations depending on his mood, circumstance or even perception of the viewer.

I'm all for hybrid animal men but I do like a bit of symmetry rather than something like a right goat leg, left bird leg, right gorilla arm, left jaguar arm, giraffe neck and then the one next to them being some other totally different crazy combo.

I do like the Silver Tower versions and if we got a 40k version that be cool with me.

If there's talk of chaos mutants I wonder if we'll see a resurrection of the old Lost and the Damned army list. It was so much fun circa late 3rd/ early 4th ed.

Mutants

traitor guard / cultists

Big mutants

CSM

units of spawns

Swarms of little demon/mutants

Lots of wild stuff!

I love the Tzangors. I have been waiting patiently since may to get a full multipart box set. Honestly I will be a liitle annoyed if 40k gets them first.
