Besides being published by Black Scorpion and being written by Thorpe & Clarke, does anyone know anything about the Cutlass! skirmish game? For those who haven't heard anything about it, here's the book, the associated miniatures range, and BlackScorpion's overview.

Thanks for directing me here Manchu, posted the other thread from my mobile and couldn't find anything else listed
Well, I've got my book, and I have my pirate gang ( Squig Beard rules dem waves ) undercoated. I'm looking forward to trying out the rules in anger, and having read them they seem quite simple with changes in die to and well set out rules.
I have to hand it to BS, the book is behuhuitifull! The presentation and patination on the pages is fantastic, it's a joy to read. The setting is interesting, and the characters are linked into the world nicely.
The big question is, has anyone managed to roll some dice and how did it go?

Just to give a quick heads up to the quality of the minis that are being sold alongside the games system here are some late WiP's that I am finishing off next week. (I know this isn't a p+m forum but the quality of the minis reflects the quality of the book)
C'mon people, buy into this the minis as are great and the book is high quality!

Certainly looks good.
I'll be interested in hearing how it works with all those dice types.
I'm sold on the minis!

Looks interesting. Any chance you could give us a brief review:
1. Some photos of the book, nothing that will give away the contents, just some images of the front and back, and some of the interior artwork.
2. An overview of the setting, the main factions, and a general overview of how the game play is structured.
Soory, if it appears that I'm asking for alot. It's just that I have invested in Anima Tactics and Warmachine this month, I'm already balls deep in Inifnity and MERCS, and I also have AE:Bounty and Firestorm Armada on the boil.....so it would be nice to have a heads up on this game before investing yet more money into another system.

No worries, I will post up some bits and bobs as soon as I get the book back from a friend who is having a look through it. The Layout is good, the pages themselves are stained and the artwork is well done. The book is at least as well set out as the new hardback warhammer books, and on top of this the fantasy minis that Black Scorpion are putting out are really high quality. As soon as we get a game in I will post a link on this thread about it.

Unrelated to pirates, but I'm really digging their western "Tombstone" line of figures.
They say the minis are 32mm (29mm visually), and to the owners I ask if there is much of a difference between them and standard GW figs? From the Ork shots above I'd say not, but I guess 1mm wouldn't matter much anyways.
