Ultramarine Terminators from the Tyranid Attack box set.

I bought this on ebay in mint condition.

I'm painting the contents, this is the start.

Kickass! That's a helluva score there. Good for you! Those Termies look very nice. I assume you're going to use them for your 40k army, yes? I can't find another reason whey grass would be growing on a Hive Ship.

I like some of the design features of these TDAs. Specifically the pauldrons and heavy flamer.

I've never seen those old plastic Termies look that good before. Excellent work.

I've never seen those old plastic termies look good period.

It's a good paintjob, to be sure, but the models let you down there (I've never been a fan of SpaceHulk1.0 terminators - yes, the games shared these models - and I gave my ones away).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Odd, I thought the Tyranid Attack box had the plastic librarian terminators from the Deathwing expansion set, not the original plastic Space Hulk Terminators.

There's also those plastic genestealer hybrids in there, and they are pretty hard to find. I guess you paid a fair bit for this unless you found an amazing bargain.

Do you intend to use the game contents? I've never seen a game of Advanced Space Crusade played.

There is a single Librarian in the box and 4 space hulk terminators. You also get 10 plastic scouts (painting 5 at the moment).

In total including postage it cost me £36. Considering I collect Ultramarines and Tyranids it's money well spent.

Bargain price then, the hybrids are a particularly difficult find unpainted.

You could probably sell the game contents, rules, counters and board and virtually make your money back.

I'll be keeping it all. If I do sell it will be as a painted set. Should fetch a pretty penny.

The first 5 scouts are complete. These are dual purpose scouts. They going to be a part of my Scout 10th Company, and they're to be used in the actual Tyranid Attack game.

I've tried to get as much detail out of these old plastic scout models, but sadly they don't lend themselves to fancy paint jobs. The sergeant is especially bad with awful proportions and a head that makes the wayne rooney scout heads look acceptable.

Quite happy with the colour scheme, it would have been too easy to paint the lower leg armour blue like a marine's armour, but painting it black like my modern scout's boots really helps tie them into the modern range.

Oh and ginger mohawk FTW.

Looking good, just as nice as the Termies.

I have to ask, though...

What's the deal with "Gingers" with you UK folk? I see all these Ginger vids and references all over the internet. It always seems to be in an insulting, demeaning way, as if 'Ginger' is widely looked down upon. I don't really get it. Being a redhead is somehow a bad thing over there? Why does it always seem to apply to males and not females?

@Ghidorah: to answer your question I think it was a south park episode where they said "gingers have no souls" and too many people took it literally.
But those minis are awesome well done for finding them
