I have wanted to make a gaming table to play on for some time now. So I decided to finally make one.
Here are the material that I am using
-elmer's glue
-polystyrene
-static grass, doesn't have to be GW mine are from one of my local hobby shops
-wood for the base
-modular terrain, so I caan change what terrain on it. One day I might what a small shack. another day I might want an orky building.

I forgot to mention to basecoat the foam green. I just use craftstore paint for this because I don't want to use the expensive GW paint.

Shouldn't this be in the Dakka P&M blogs section? Anyways, back on topic, I like the progress so far, but wouldn't it be easier if you just made a base for the hill? I mean the toothpicks would leave holes in your board, and if you wanted it in a different place, then there would just be even more holes....
Overall, I like the general look of it. Will you be making that divide between the styrofoam into a river or chasm or something like that?

The gap will be a river. At most craft stores there are plastic sheets that resemble ripples. That's what i'm looking for today.

But shouldn't the slopes then be a little flatter or are you making it look like a canyon river?
