I have read online and in various other places that people struggle when it comes to painting white.
I have a solution to their problems. This is my tutorial on painting white my way. The end result looks great on helmets an shoulder pads.

It's tough to see what your doing. Your camera isn't focusing on the right subject so the quality cannot not be determined. Before you upload the video, you should watch it, see how it turned out and play around with it if you need to.
I can't tell what your doing sorry. Could you make a new vid from a different angle please?

i often find that painting white gets really chalky on the model... is there a workaround for that?
ive tried:
undercoating with codex grey (like in the vid)
several thin layers
thick layers
sanding and repainting
only thing that did work was priming it white with white spray and leave the white parts unpainted...

You could paint codex grey as a base colour and then mix in small amounts of white each time and layer it on. This would probably work best and it wont be chalky if you glaze the model with gloss varnish
