Hi All

In my lab where I am researching my PhD we are fortunate enough to have a rather fantastic Leica microscope with camera. I thought it would be a laugh to see my Castellan Crowe under magnification! Unfortunately it really does show up blemishes and missed sections!! I thought it looks pretty good normally but not so much as I saw him under 0.71x mag! This is the lowest we can do and I might have to add some under higher mags!!!

I would both love and hate to have a high powered microscope camera to take pictures of my models. Could we get a standard picture to see him in the full? looks like a solid paintjob.

Will do! I'm just about to go down to my lab and take a proper shot! I also have to agree totally with what you said! Looking at the macroscopic scale, paint job looks ok, under magnification - oh dear!!!

It gives an awesome posing effect though.

that looks like really good paint job, i would just ignore the other pictures
especially since nobodys eyes are good enough to spot something you can only see with a microscope

Thanks for the posts so far! I will be adding another soon, this time of my latest chaos lord with jump pack! The face I think is rather good, but let's see what the Leica corporation has to say about that!!!! If anyone else has pictures like this, it would be great to see them!

Excellent use of lab equipment, and nice paintjob too. Reminds me of the time I refluxed my minis in various solvents to determine which stripped paint the best....

And I thought macro mode shots were unforgiving... From now on, my minis are only going to be viewed under under natural light, at arm's length.

As a joke I will sometimes yell at friends who stoop to view my minis.
