I recently re-worked some of the Space Marines that I built as a boy. New poses and new paint. I thought that I would post them here for y'all to see.
Two are lead from the old RT days and the other five are built from the original SM box.
In my games they are not from a particular imperial/chaos chapter, just renegade power-armored human mercenaries.

Comments and criticisms welcomed....

I really like these guys they look very minimalistic and good.

However what the hell is the guy doing with a dagger sticking out of his foot??? im guessing that would inhibit his movement a bit...

Nerdfest- Thank you. I think so too.

Yes I know it looks a bit strange. He is supposed to be kicking an opponent that is behind him-I guess the knife is spring loaded or something. Years ago he was one of the first minis I put together. Cutting his leg and repositioning it was a huge modeling step for me and it lead to a long line of conversions. When I repainted/reworked this group of models, I kept the kicking leg with the knife even though it looks a bit daft. It is sort of a throw back to way back when.

Also over the years this model has acquitted himself well in combat, stacking up the kills. I had no reason to change his fighting style. It it ain't broke....

I'm kicking myself for not buying a whole swag of them off ebay for $90 a couple of months back, they had buckets of them, probably more than 50 marines plus all these Rt era bits for conversions and heavy weapons, all I could think of was doing a massive RT era style Crimson fist army.... ah well!
