Hello gamers,

We are happy to introduce a new bag to the already huge Battle Foam P.A.C.K. system lineup. This new bag called the P.A.C.K. Air is the first truly flight friendly bag designed for air travel. The original P.A.C.K. 720 had been ideal for traveling to and from your home to the store. Gamers even used it to fly, but some got stopped and told to check the bag.

"Please Check Your Bag Sir" is the last words a gamer ever wants to hear at the airport. That problem has now been solved once and for all. The bag measures 21 inches across and 9.0" deep. This allows for a standard Battle Foam size tray along with the Privateer Press size tray to stack next to it. Because you get 9.0" of vertical space side by side you actually fit more than the 720 and just a bit less than the 1520 XL our massive bag. This new size allows for easy fit on 95% of all major airliners. (small prop planes not included )

With the launch of the new P.A.C.K. Air we will also be releasing a new Privateer Press size tray made for all troop sizes called the "Universal Troop Tray". This will allow you to stack your standard BF trays on one side and multiple UTT's on the other side. This will easily allow for a full 4000 point army depending on what you run.

We personally tested the load outs in different ways and found several factions fitting close to 3500 points on average.

The other exciting advantage of this bag is that it features our new “Kevlar Fiber Weave" material. This new outer skin makes our bags even tougher and longer lasting. The Kevlar Fiber Weave is the same material used in flack jackets and bullet proof vests. Really cool stuff.

This bag is currently up for Pre-Order (Actually Saturday June 4th) and will begin shipping from both our UK warehouse and US warhouses on July 1st.

Please check out www.battlefoam.com for more information.

Lastly, Battle Foam "Black Label" releasing this Fall. Cool bags made even cooler!!!!

My wallet's Kevlar, and I do have to say, no matter how thin it is, this stuff is extremely strong.

Another case well made for Battlefoam! Great job, guys!

I know some people may not care for the fact that this bag has 2 different tray sizes in it, but for my money if it comes down between a bag that has only a single tray size but only fits on SOME airlines and a bag that has 2 tray sizes that fits on EVERY flight (minus tiny prop planes, of course), I'll take the latter choice every time.

I have absolutely no issue putting my entire mini collection into two different tray sizes, and in fact I think I might pick up a PP bag to go along with my 720, that way I can have a bag for each style if I'm just traveling around town.

Or I could always fit a bunch of PP trays in the 720 and then have a few standard trays sitting on their ends filling up the blank spaces.

I really don't care...the point is, I want this bag!

Sweet.. thank you for answering the needs of the people! An air travel friendly bag will definitely be on the 'must have' list.

(Though, I am anxiously awaiting what the 'Black Label' bags will look like.)

I've done a lot of "experiments" with Kevlar weaves and fire. There is a good chance these bags will be partially fire retardant. Kevlar is really good at remaining unconsumed even after burning for 4-5 minutes with added fuel. So there's another bonus for your sales pitch!

Granted, the bag may be fire retardant, but if a fire is blazing outside of your bag, chances are those plastic minis and the foam trays are going to melt. I like the look of the kevlar, but I'm not super excited about it. I haven't had any issues concerning wear with my 1520XL yet.

The Pack Air, I am excited about. It sounds like it will hold somewhere just in between what the 720 and 1520 XL hold, and that will be perfect for me. I love my 1520XL but it does look odd at times wheeling in a full luggage sized bag of minis.

Navarro - The UK / EU warehouse is open and has been for over a month. We just needed to wait for BT (the local internet and phone provider) to install our communications. That has now been done and the guys are finishing last minute touches. The new UK / EU website will be active next Friday the 10th. Doors will be open for walkin traffic on the 15th of June.

Navarro - The P.A.C.K. Go will be released as part of the first run of "BLACK LABEL BAGS" in the fall. We will have them at GenCon for preview and shortly after on the website for pre-order.

TheSecretSquig - The "Black Label Bags" are something new we will be offering in the fall just in time for Christmas. We can't give you to much info now but I can tell you that you will love the new line. Its the next evolution to Battle Foam.

Warboss - The rules pocket on the front is the same size as the one on the P.A.C.K. 720. It actually fits a full size rule book or a couple codex.

Hope that helps guys.

Pretty ingenuitive way of making a bag that is airline-safe! Especially with the two different size trays needed to make it work. Pretty cool...

One question, does this work on smaller jets? I.e., some have only the smaller sized overhead bins, and make you put your rollers to the side on the ramp onto the plane and they put it in the bottom.

Not a propeller plane, just a smaller jet...

That's obvious: A bag to transport your supply of Jack Daniel's Old No.7

RiTides - We actually called about 15 different airlines in the US and several major airlines in the EU like British Airways and Easyjet. They all stated that the size of this bag would fit on more than 95% of their airplanes. I would say that is a good average but you always want to check just in case. You never know when you'll have a weird connection with a small airline that has 2 rows on the plane. Those may be a bit tricky considering they'll more than likely have cattle or chickens on board you'll have to leave room for.

Smaller jets like your describing you normally board via roll up stare case. You can always ask them to be careful with your stuff since you're watching them more closely. I actually boarded one of these at TempleCon last year because RI airport is small and normally flies in connections via small jet. I just told the guy I handed my army to that it was a miniature games army and to be careful. He knew what it was and took nice care to put it on top of other bags. He even let me watch before boarding. Odd event and it may not happen all the time.

Kroothawk - Several new trays are coming out this week on Friday for Dark Eldar Venoms, Talos, Reavers, and the new flyer. Stay tuned for those. They will be up on the tray creator within 2 weeks after. Check out the new products section of www.battlefoam.com for the details in just a few days.

Alpharius - Yes, we signed Infinity, and Mercs last month. We now are the exclusive bag makers for Privateer Press, Flames Of War, Malifaux, Mantic, Spartan Games, Heavy Gear Blitz, MERCS, and Infinity. The Infinity bag will be previewed here on Dakka in just a few days. We are very excited that all of these amazing companies have trusted us with their IP's and confidence. We greatly appreciate each and every one of them.

RiTides - Its what gamers expect from us at this point. Anything else would be letting everyone down. We spend hundreds of hours each month dedicated to creating ideal trays for every game possible. Its hard but we love what we are doing.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. We really have many more exciting things to announce in the coming months. GenCon has several huge surprises in store.

If GW were to work with Battlefoam, they'd have bags and trays made up and then stamp the GW IP on them and sell them as part of the Citadel line for a 80% - 200% markup like they do everything else hobby related.

You joke, but I live in Florida. I've already considered storing my miniature bag in a full-sized cooler in my trunk. An insulating sleeve for their bags would be an easy sell all across Australia and the southern US.
