Mostly, on my phone.

So yesterday was Wappenshaw, an annual event run by the Phoenix Wargames club here in Scotland and with many of the clubs and retailers/traders from the greater Glasgow area in attendance. For the first time, rather than being run in the wee hall where my local group meet, it was right in the city centre, in the prestigious Royal Concert Hall.

What it lacked in advertising, it made up for in enthusiasm from the various local club displays. Retailers such as Static (FLGS) were there, and even GW put on a stand with finecast and new DE stuff (and precious little bull, because our local lads are half decent and the manager is not a complete tit).

The usual bring and buy sale was a bit lacking, but I pick a box of giant skull icons and classic plastic termie librarians for £1, while the boy got himself 40 grots for a fiver. Still, always a little disappointing.

There were some great demo games, including our own Space Hulk 3D and a great Viking invasion (pics below):

Spoiler:

Overall, then, I enjoyed myself, but I had intended to pig out in toys yet ended up finding little that grabbed me, so went down to FLGS and bought a box of DA vets for bits.

Later,
graven

Looks like a heck of a great time there. thanks for sharing that!

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
