Hi guys, I'm Mango, long time reader - first time poster.

I won a Black Reach Warboss and Dreadnought recently and had no idea or use for them as my armies arent Ork and dont need any more Dreads, but then my dremel pretty much screamed "USE ME!" and now I have this conversion which is my take on "What if the Orks succeeded in taking Black Reach?"

All I have used in this conversion is the Warboss, Dreadnought CCA, and two pieces of the thickest (E) string from a guitar. the ONLY green stuff I used was between the head and neck as I turned the head to be following the direction of the claw. I have started the paint, trying a new technique which should shorten highlighting time a fair bit so I will post pics as I go.

C&C always appreciated and look forward to putting more pics up.

Mango.

This is the finshed paint scheme on a test Grot. Start with Iyaden Darksun for base, then flat overcoat in Golden yellow even in the recesses, then 2 coats of Thraka Green.

That looks really good for skin, to see an entire army like that would be ridiculous (in a good way)!

I like the powerfist.

Are you going to do the entire army in that tone, or will the Boyz be darker?

That grot is lighter than the Armour on my Bad Moonz! I love it I would suggest a slightly darker tone perhaps, but i don't know the clan so it might work.
Jolly good conversion too.

Great skintone on that Grot! I think it'd be too light on Nobz, or even Boyz, but for Grots and the smaller, less threatening guys, its perfect!
I'm also a big fan of the DCCW on the Warboss, definitely keeps him looking dangerous! I'll be watching this thread with interest!
