Just got into Warhammer a few months back. A couple of figures I did trying out different painting techniques.

THey're really nice dude. Gongrats . If I was being critical, I'd say the washes look a little thick, but other than that, excellent.

Yeah used the dip method on the figs. Zar Fruitwood I think. It is a quick dry, so I will have to either thin it a bit, or use a drill to spin them dry.

The dipping looks great on about 90% of the minis - the only problem I can see is where there are flat surfaces (i.e the back of the grots) the dip has pooled a bit and stained it brown. Like you say, thinning will sort this easily. Otherwise, these look great. Nice to see some well painted grots amongst the orks!

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I will keep an eye on that pooling on the backs. I think a toothpick should take of that.

I think thinning your dip a bit will do wonders. Right now, it looks a bit like everything was dipped in motor oil - a bit too thick and a bit too brown. Definitely tabletop worthy, but a lighter shade will look significantly better. Oh, and extra kudos for the Munchkin box behind your grots.

I really like the dilapidated look of the choppa. Very neat.

Do or do not, there is no try.
