Subject: Painting Sanguinary Guard for my Blood Falcons

So, I have created a paint scheme close to the Knights of Blood but instead of the silver the armour is basecoated black and than a thined Necron Abyss (starts 1:1 x2 and than becomes 2:1 x6) is applied and than I use a thined Merchrite Red (same mixes as the Necron Abyss) for the head and shoulders.
My question is how should I do the sanguinary guard wings. . . I was thinkning of making the feather area either the Merchrite Red or the Necron Abyss and then for the tops of the wings use the opposing color to give it contrast. followed by a highlight of Enchanted Blue if the tops is Necron Abyss, or if the top is Merchrite Red I would highlight with Blood Red.
Opinions?

So no opinions from anyone? That is a real oddity when concerning all Dakkaites.

I am asking for opinions first to see what people think of the scheme I can easily use the B&C SM painter to show the basics of the design.

Between your two options, the red one seems to be best for a progressive shading/highlight, where as putting enchanted over necron seems to be a big jump. You should try playing around with a middle ground color to do a highlights, then the brighter one for fine highlights.
With that being said, go for the red one. With those pictures of your scheme idea, it would play nicely off the chest and helmet i would say.
