Hi Im considering eventually getting into warmachine. The thing that appeals to me is how fast the game seems to played and how relatively cheap it is to get an army considering 40k and WHFB are my 2 games. The question I have is which army should I do? Cryx and Retribution are no nos because my Dad and Brother play those. In the demo I played Menoth and thought they were cool. But I really like the idea of Khador being Russians and what not.

Is your family open to doing the crossover options to Hordes? From what I understand, play between the two is possible without major issues, just not a 'beginner' thing. That'd open up your choices quite a bit.
