*bursts though room with axe* HEEEAAARRRS JHONNY!!!

Hi all i want to know how many people on dakka play the doctor who miniature game by crooked dice.

I think its one of the best wargames i have played in a long time as you can create and direct your own doctor who adventure and it not about massive armies clashing for domination over the galaxy which is good

Ok so if you want to put pictures of your own doctor who minis you can

If you want to put PDF doctor who rules on or datasheets for it put it here

If you want to put battle reports on this thread you can

Ok so this is my first thread so dont be too harsh on me please

Cheers for your replies

I have 7TV, the new game from the same designers, using basically the same rules to recreate spy-fi adventures like The Avengers, Mission Impossible, etc.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

I would love to have a go though at the moment I can contribute practically nothing in the way of models as all my available stuff is 40K.

I have a box full of generalised modern/SF figures such as Dr Who and some of the 7TV miniatures. I need to get around to painting them.

I could bring an AT-43 COGS force as mad science robots or aliens.

Oh, and I have a 28mm TARDIS model.

I dont think that would be an issue , I tend to use paper minis as the forces are constantly changing!

Wow I'll have to look into this because I've always wanted a good Doctor Who game, the Harlequin one seemed a bit lacking but there were some good scenarios in the magazine.

I have been buying up the recent not-Dr Who figures from Heresy and the like and had almost all the Harlequin range, we just didn't bother with Zarbi and other anonymous looking things. I also have about half the Citadel range here and there.

A good source for modern 28mm daleks is the Doctor Who 'micro universe' range. Many of the figures aren't so good especially in soft plastic but the Daleks are spot on and I think you can get them quite cheap now.

Here's a few I painted up over 10 years ago, but I've since stripped all the Doctors and am painting them again.

You won't get the new style of Dalek's from them.

Anyway Black Tree are operating a bit of a funny business, they are supposed to be merely selling off Halequin's old stock yet they never run out of stuff. Some people have complained that while the Harlequin stuff wasn't always the best, the stuff from Black Tree are sometimes very poor castings.

They're not selling off old stock, I ordered some Dr. Who miniatures from them and they forgot about my order. I called them up and the dude said they were making up a new batch. I chatted with him for a while, it was neat how they knew everyone else in the Citadel miniatures community.

That's not what they tell most people. It's my understanding that they don't have a licence to do this, I would suggest not drawing the attention of the BBC...

That was right after the new series started. They might still have had the license before BBC figured out they still had some money in the cash cow.

They probably ramped up production so they could warehouse them, depending on how the contract was written.

Black Tree were at Salute 2011 in April with a small number of painted Dalek models, which they said were end of the line.

I wish someone would put out 28mm Daleks, Cybermen and a few other enemies.

I always miss the ones on magazines or Micro Universe and that kind of thing.

Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

I think I have just found my wargames nirvana....
A few years back I watched the 9th and the 10th doctors series and loved them. The Dalek siege of Bad Wolf Station stuck in my mind. I recently watched the end of the 11th doctors 1st (or was it 2nd?) series, where the doctor 'blew up an entire cyberman legion, just to make a point'!
I haven't really followed on the 11th doctor, as david tenant was the best, and the new guy looks a little weird (no offense), but some of them were interesting, like the ww2 daleks and the lizard people.

my miniatures collection isn't too expansive, most of it being (unpainted) warhammer, both fantasy and 40k. however, I do have some SCW international brigade volunteers from North star, and some laser troopers from Gripping beast, and I did pick up a few of those Dr Who micro universe minis (2 Judoon and 2 Werewolves, Martha Jones, Sarah Jane, a Dalek, a Cyberman, an Auton and 2 Clockwork Robots). I need to find a few minis to represent the Doctor and a few of his buddies, as well as most of his enemies.

I have always wanted to make some kind of big Cyberman Civil war. The Daleks did it, so why not the cybermen? I thought one faction could have some emotions, as the cybercreation process has some flaws (as that yvonne woman proved, killing dozens of other cybermen with the black gun). Would it be plausible?

Many and varied forces in progress according to waxing & waning whims.

I may never finish an army in my life.

Certainly!

i like the idea but this could be an interesting turnout between our universes cybermen and the parallel versions but it is a good story nonetheless.

wasn't that bothered about the siege of bad wolf i wanted to see more of daleks fighting cybermen not the doctor giving a mouthful explaining how to defeat them.
