I didn't know the Germans built one of these but it looks interesting.

The ultimate multi-turret tanks are the Vickers A1E1 and Soviet T35. There is a resin kit of the A1E1 but it costs about a million pounds. The T35 kit has been OOP for several years.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Actually the ultimate in multi-turrets is the KV-5

The above was even built and called NbFz. VI (3 built) and used for the attack on Norway.

Actually 5 were build, but only three saw combat:

Actually, the ultimate in multi-turret tanks is the T-35, the only five turreted design that ever saw combat.

This is a fantastic model, and if I wasn't for the price point, I'd redo my entire Leman Russ collection for the Jagdmacht with these things.

The T-28 was a pretty good tank and saw plenty of combat in the early war period.

You're joking right? The T-28 was colossal disaster of tank that was grossly underpowered, cramped, had a weak suspension and had no internal radio.

Then again a lot of early tanks werent all that good.

Thankfully russians smartened up and made the T34, the most important tank created during ww2. Not to mention the good ol beastly IS2

Indeed, what's cruelly ironic or the British is that they cast of the Christie Chassis as unstable, seemed to work pretty well for the USSR.

No, I'm not, considering it's contemporaries were the T-26, Pz. I, Vickers 6-ton, etc. None of which are (compared to the later war models) very good.

Cozy cockpit of an Archer ARC-5S

The T-28 was a failed experiment really. And it wasn't all that slow, the Soviets even made a "high-speed" version, but still a horrible design that could've worked if the concept was better worked out.

The Russian T-35's and T-28's, the Polish DW7TP and the British A9 Cruiser mk.I had the deck-turret mgs or twin turreted bofors-guns (Polish DW).

Those were the designs for the pre-to-early war period before the failures in those designs became evident in combat conditions against German armor.

The Brits had some decent innovations with the Churchills, Sherman VC Fireflys and the Cromwells....which were circa '44 Normandy and beyond.

But yeah, those deck-turret designs were interesting and I believe it was a mindset of that era where armor was considered a little like navy ships in design philosophy.

When owned by Russians the T-28 was da disaster (partially due to no training on it before the assault). Owned by the Finns they were quite respectable as the Russians soon learned.
