So while i was waiting for paint to dry I figured i would Try and make a standard bearer or a Sgt










I didn't like the way the banner pole came out, so i continued to mess with it.
So i made this, what do you think? A passable Black Pedro?
(just on the off chance some one doesn't get the "black" reference This was my assault on black reach captain.)

I think your conversion looks very cool! I hate the black reach commander, and I think what you did makes really good use of him.

(I actually really like the standard bearer too)

The title made me lol. Pretty imaginative conversion. Though what did the sternguard have to do with it.

Other then Pedro makes them scoring and how i got the idea for the conversion, nothing really.

Looks good. Nothing too flashy about him, but it looks nice and neat.

I've seen similar conversions and this looks pretty good. Turn his wrist so the gun's on top though; right now it looks like he's trying to give a hug.

I like it, I really do.

I hate myself for this, but I can tell you've used a gun strap for the ammo feed. If you have an AOBR Dreadnought, I've used its Storm Bolter ammo feed for a number of conversions.

Well, maybe it was Pedro trying to hug everyone that led to the title of this thread...ever think of that?

the zinge industries ammo feeds are epic. check out the news section for the thread. great conversion.

Thanks, I looked for a while through my bits and didnt find anything. I did have the bolter strap from the bolter i just chopped off so i used that.

The Zinge belts do look really good.

I will move the gun to the top, i saw that after the fact that pedro's gun was on the top.

I actually like the conversion more then the real model lol

Bolter arm looks pretty bad imo, its obviously the stormbolters strap and i've never cared for the wrist mounts.
On a positive note, I do really like the rest and am love with the idea. So consider this idea stolen and hey with a little bit more effort you'll have yourself a seriously awesome model.

I had a hard time putting it on top due to the pauldrons sticking out too far, i could chop the bits on the back of the storm bolter
off so i ended up leaving it in the "Orbital bombardment hug pose".

Might try to make a ammo feed with some green stuff, not holding my breath on this as i have a game Saturday that i intend to use Black Pedro in.

@Joetaco i dont like the arm either gonna check out my bits im sure i have a new right fist. The original fist got a little chewed due to the angle of the way he held the power sword.
But as far as wrist mout im going to use this as a Pedro counts as, so trying to keep with the real model.

Edit-Well i think i got it as close as i can without wrecking. No gun sling for ammo, no hugs and no melty fist from sanding.

I like it but there is one thing about it you may want to know. The head and body are from a tech marine which doesn't realy matter for the head but the chest plate has the adeptus mechanicus symbol on it.

This looks great. I'll be ripping this idea off for sure!
(and probably buying some more AOBR commanders, too!

@ hershey666 -Good catch, i'll see if i can scrape that off the chest, or GS over it .

FYI though I'm not running the crimson fists chapter so it doesn't have to be perfect.
