Hello everybody ive looked and found no section to put this in, so forgive me if its the wrong place.

Ive been collecting BA for a while now and I am entertaining the idea of adding units from other chapters in the BA army book into my army. But, I like every unit and some models to have a background.

The Problem- I want to add a unit of Lamentors Tactical Marines to my force but am struggling to find a reason for them to be there from a background point of view.

Any ideas?

They are part of an interchapter war, cut off from the rest of the Lamentors. They've met up with the BA and are just making their way to the rest of their brothers helping their 'cousins' along the way.
These lamentors know the location of a Relic of Sanguinious and have been tasked to show the BA where it is. Unfortunatly its in enemy hands.

The BA are gathering together their forces anyway. That Daemon is coming for Baal and so is a hive and most Successor chapters are helping defend Baal.

Thanks for the ideas. But the lamentors refused to go to the BA aid in the defence against the daemon and tyranid attacks on Baal as they have there own problems. Talk about loyalty.

Of course, sometimes that old one is meant to be used in a very very good way. If that's what you want (ie, a very good reason), then think of a reason why an Eldar group would fight with a group of "redeemed" Dark Eldar. Sounds difficult, but its the same thing for the Lamentors; they're cousins, but also fell traitor, and are redeeming themselves.
