The guys from Forge of War and FUBAR have released a ruleset for 40K skirmishes. The ruleset plays fast and fun, and there are retinues for all possible forces in the W40K universe.
You can see two BATREPs with pics and links to the rules here:http://javieratwar.blogspot.com/2011/07/in-emperors-name.html" target="_new" rel="nofollow"> http://javieratwar.blogspot.com/2011/07/in-emperors-name.html
and here: http://javieratwar.blogspot.com/2011/07/some-iten-scenarios-played.html
A second edition is in the works and about to be released in a week or two.

Cheers,

So, I'm totally posting the rules in here because it's a pain to find them AND you can't get to them if you're business blocks some sites.

Also, the second edition rules are totally out according to what I downloaded.

This looks very promising. It will be fun playing a kill team game that's actually somewhat balanced. I am disappointed that there are no pre-done stats for Tau, but I can come up with my own.

quick question , with the activation rolls , does that mean there is a 'ebb and flow' of combat , you go until your unit fails to activate , and then go again when your enemy fails to activate?
