Finally a new offical version of Vassal40k is out.

Whats is new:
Main Module – A lot of terrain added, Rivers, Tau and Eldar Terrain and many more
Grey Knights – Seperated from Inquisition, overhaul for their new Codex
Dark Eldar – Overhaul for their new Codex, a lot of new sprites.
Imperial Guard – Thunderer, Destroyer and Tarantula Sentries added
Space Marines – All Dreads now can be Mortis pattern, Tarantula Sentries added
Tau – Tetra added
Apocalypse – 5 Flyers, 12 Titans and 26 Warmachines added, for Imperium, Chaos, Necrons, Orks, Tau, Eldar and Tyranids.

Yeah I just got the same message. Looks like they forgot to renew their registration. The site owner said he had been off line for a while due to real life issues so its understandable if he forgot.

Awesome! Been waiting for a long while. Now I can have proper Dark Eldar vs. Grey Knight matches going on, instead of needing a bajillion notes to figure out what unit counts as what new unit.
As always, I appreciate the work of Vassal. It makes list-testing so, so much easier.

I went through a second time and it didn't flag anything... then I downloaded it and scanned the file, it also didn't flag, looks like a weird false alarm...
I use Avast by the way if it matters....
Now one of these days I will have to actually figure out how to use the damned program so I can finally learn to play 40k lol

Same, I tried it a couple different times and just couldnt make sense of it. Ive read threads here and there on how to work it, but I must be missing something

You just need to keep in mind it's not a computer game, just a bunch of sprites you move around yourself. There are useful features, like moving things 6" and the scatter dice, but mostly it's just you moving the sprites.

There are a few helpful vassal40k how to guides on youtube. Search vassal40k there and you should get a few hits.

Is this stand alone or do I need some other download to go with it? It's a great tool for testing lists in different situations before you spend the money on the models. Thanks for all the hard work putting it out for us!
