I would just like to point out that the Neo Zeong is out. It comes with its own special Neo Zeon bag to carry it in. Upon seeing this thing and the engineering that went into it, I think GW and Forgeworld ought to hang their heads in shame.

and the stupid knights are monopose as well. Compared to Japanese makers, GW kits have always been low-detail and low-value; I've gotten stuff for 100yen that looks better than a great deal of what GW produces.

I bought one of the evangelion robots, it is a toy but fully move-able and lots of 10000yen (about 100$) totally worth it

I bought a MG Jesta, I can't imagine gluing it to a knight sized base and painting it.

It's the Calamity Dog from Blue Knight! There's two types. This one and a green one with an actual head. I've got the (rather crappy) action figures of them that CM's Corp made during the big VOTOMS boom in the early 2000s. If I'm remembering correctly, back when Kotobukiya used to be a garage kit company, they made resin kits of both types of Calamity Dog along with just about every other AT from Blue Knight Berserga.

I don't know the dimensions. 1/200 scale is much smaller than 40K but ships tend to be pretty large so it may be big enough to put infantry on top of without them looking too stupid. I mean it might look like a small sky sailing ship.

Another possible use would be the gondola of a large Zeppelin.

That ship has a serious identity crisis.

The Cosmo Fleet toys from Megahouse are not going to scale well with most games. I think they're going to be too big for BFG or Firestorm Armada. They look good though.

I believe this is a new tooling or at least revised as it is snap fit. I remember the one I had in the late 80s being a standard kind of model that you have to cement together. It is a fairly large model in 1/72. The pilot sits in the head.

This model was used for the original unseen "Wolverine" in Battletech though they made it a medium mech.

Checked on some Japanese sites it is approximately 170mm tall

About six inches then. It doesn't sound too tall.

It is very hard to remember but I vaguely recall it being much chunkier in 1/72 than the Griffin (Roundfacer) and Shadowhawk models that were also 1/72 and used in the game as 55 ton medium mechs.

With all these models being re-issued I am very tempted to buy a load and run mega scale Battletech games in Marsh Meadows in Henley.

My kits bought in the late 80s to early 90s were a mixture of Japanese Dougram and Macross, and US Robotech.

For example I had various Roundfacer, Blockhead, etc. and Battlemaster, Variable Fighter and alien kits (Pod Glaug), as well as Crusher Joe (the Locust).

It was a mess but a beautiful mess. I sold most of them in the mid to late 90s. I should say I regret it, which I do in a way, but on the other hand I would probably have collapsed my house with the number of such kits if I kept them.

At least I have the Ral Partha metal models for the tabletop game.

Man, I used to have the old metal Battletech figures of the Iron Foot, and the Big Foot. I think I may have even had the Blockhead. My dad had painted them all up in winter camo. Brings back memories.

If it were a bit cheaper, like 3-4 thousand yen, I would probably consider getting that. It actually looks pretty good. Manages to not only look better than the old model, but it looks better than it did in the show and the lineart, too.

I had a few Macross (Robotech) models, aura battler dunbine, 6 feet walker from dougram and one of the toys i bought from Transformer Jetfire was really a valkery from Macross.

I still have all the original "unseen" Battletech models in metal.

Back in the mid-80s, the Japanese models kits of these robots, from Macross, Dougram and Crusher Joe, were exotic and interesting imports in the local model shops that still were common at the time. I remember often taking the tube down to Turnham Green in west London to visit my favourite shop and invest in another couple of kits.

At one stage I had enough 1/72 scale models to play scenarios in the garden with up to 24 mechs. This unfortunately had to be put away and I sold everything off years ago.

I wouldn't mind a 1/72 Locust. It was always my favorite of the unseen. In the first Mechwarrior back in the 8 bit days I could finish the game with just one Locust.

Back in the day I had two bi-metal 72 scale kits from the Dougram line. As unseen they were the Griffin and the Nighthawk, in the anime I believe they were the Roundfacer and the Dougram. The kits had plasic exterior armor and a metal frame. I don't know what I did with those, but man I wish I still had them. Lol they were $25 a piece back in the 80's and I thought they were so damn expensive!!

I had kits of the Locust (Ostall) and "Skateboy" from Crusher Joe. They are still available on eBay. The scale is supposedly 1/32 and 1/20, but I remember the models being really fairly small. About three inches high.
