Excellent paint job. From your topic it sounds like you've just started painting models? If so you've mastered the most difficult thing IMO and many Dakkanauts opinion. Painting Yellow!

Very nice indeed. To help you rotate the images, do this first before uploading them. I love your colour schemes you have captured the cartoonish look to the ork skin, which reminds me of TMNT. Whats your painting secrets?

Thanks! been painting their skin with some testors enamels which I found when you do acrylic wash over the results are really nice. then a super light dry brush with a lighter tone of green or yellow. Also been doing the checkers with a tiny black pen I bought from an art store! I sorta figure all the orks would have slightly different skin tone so i mix the yellow and green base coat a little different each time... hence the piece of cardboard covered in little bits of paint!

Yeah i did notice the excessive mixed paint in the back ground. Have you thought about colour schemes for vehicles yet?

Mostly going to paint them rusted yellow. but I'm thinking with big red sections poorly painted like the orcs realized they needed to paint the vehicles red later for the speed upgrade. or maybe just the tracks or areas near the wheels red… i really like the imperial tanks so i want to do mostly looted vehicles… i saw another post somewhere on here where an ork was pouring red paint out of a bucket onto his vehicle… pretty rad

Your yellow is awesome, they all look great. I hope you do paint a vehicle. I'm sure it would be a master piece
