looks good. i would wash the gold to give it some depth as a plain metal gold makes it hard to see details. black or brown.
how are you going to the bases?

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

1. Skip the purple. It's not a common colour in cities and pretty much makes you a target.
2. Try to make the camo on the clothes in sharper lines and pointy edges. As with the purple, few rounded corners in cities.
But overall I think it is looking good. My tip is to try with more gray colours and a few fields if black.
As Orinoco said, some washes would to a great much to the look of the models.

Modern military urban camo is typically a digital pattern that incorporates whites, greys and a few shades of blue. it is boxy and has many distinct lines. its built that way because digital patters break up our perception of what is and isnt there. in short, our eyes have trouble picking it out because its so disruptive. the colors look good, lets try squares and lines instead of a more tradition camo pattern, if you are going for a modern world look. if you are going for a mid eighties look then keep them the way they are. i would also drop the purple trim. washing the model will easily give you a nice dark line between the trim and the coat, so the definition is there, so maybe a color that corresponds to the camo scheme? that advice of course is not as important as saying that he looks good and you are obviously on the right track. keep it up and hope to see more of them.

ok I will first from the beginning and work my way down. I am placing a few tutorials to help out if you want to check them out.
one I like the urban theme, not done alot so I like to see it more.
You should highlight the flesh a little more. The flesh looks like you placed a flesh color and washed it with a brown ink. You need more depth with the flesh. You can fix it with a layering of tallern flesh, highlight of elf flest and fine highlight of bleach bone.
The grey armor need a highlight of some sort. Maybe add a highlight of codex grey, then fine highlight with fortress grey or skull white.
All Camo has three colors. I only see two which pulls from the effect you are trying to get.

You gold on the is a little flat. A light wash devan mud can fix that easy.

Not true. See: http://www.worldculturepictorial.com/images/content_2/british_military_band_handover-ceremony_iraq.jpg
You can make a perfectly good camo scheme with 2 colours.
As for improving those models, the scheme itself looks pretty good. I'd agree that a wash on the gold would help pick out the details on it. And make sure you base them, it really improves the look of the models!

may be worth adding a little white or space wolf grey on the camo, will make it really pop.
Here's mine:
the old guard codex had loads of colour schemes in and is well worth a look, though im sure someone has a scan or copy they could show you.

i personally am doing a more ww2 style army....so tht style of camo i think is going to stay but i will make it sharper (thanks for that). The gold will be washed most definitely. The armor itself is granite and i want it muted so i think that will stay. As to the trim its is actually scab red (tie in to the higher ranked guys once i buy them) and it ties into the regimental colors, so i will leave that. the faces were butchered (some of my first faces) and there is too much paint so the definition is lost ,
in which case im going to leave the faces for THESE two models. The bases will be slate or failing that sand painted urban.....\
Thanks for the input!! I'll upload pics once i do the corrections and paint a few more (vox officer and flamer marine)
