The goal was to swamp the board with marines. Berzerk marines. Each of the 4 Blood Claw squads is accompanied by either a Wolf Priest or Rune Priest; wolf priests granting their squad the preferred enemy ability and rune priests run disruption and provide their squad with a 5+ cover save. Wolf Guard are each assigned to Grey Hunters and Wolf Scouts. Blood Claws run until in range and grey hunters provide moderate mobility and fire support with two meltas per squad counting their wolf guard sergeant. Wolf Scouts are held in reserve and can punch through a tender spot in enemy's flank. 8 missiles via long fangs provide decent anti armor capability. Anti-tank power is rounded out with a total of 14 meltas in the army. 92 marines altogether. Whatcha think?
Automatically Appended Next Post: I'm really curious as to whether anyone besides me thinks this list is viable. Opinions please?

If I were you I'd drop one squad of blood claws, change a rune priest for a wolf priest and get some more long fangs.
But overall a competitive list. heck, 80 bodies in a 2000 game aint no joke

yeah that does sound like a good argument. A little more shooty never hurts and i'd still have good board saturation with marines. I'd like to keep the rune priest though for the psychic power nullification.
For dropping one squad of the clawz i could replace it with another squad of Long Fangs and another Wolf Scout unit with a Wolf Guard leader.
Anyone else have suggestions?
If you don't give a damn about space pups how would you turn the power armor tide into a bloody pulp?

You need something besides regular attacks and a wolf priest or priest, regular attacks wont take down dreads, or mass mech, or tons of monstrous creatures. I would get a power fist in EACH blood claw squad. That would give this army the Ork aspect you need, a hidden power fist to throw 2 wounds on every MC and pop tanks without the luck of grenades. Wolf priests could use a power weapon or a PF to give the squads more melee much. I love the idea though, I debated running it myself.

Another good idea is to give each seargant a melta bomb, and multi-charge, sending the seargant at the vehicle and the squad at smth else, for 5 points!

well there's 14 melta spread across the table, i think that can handle most mech. i do like the idea of more pf's though.

ok, i've considered all of your valid inputs, and i've tried to make a revision that takes them into account and also stays true to the blue tide/power armor glacier idea. here goes:
HQ:
Rune Priest: 115
WTN, Melta Bomb, Storm Caller, JoWW
Wolf Priest: 115
WTN, Melta Bomb
Wolf Priest: 105
Melta Bomb
ELITES:
Wolf Guard: 129
3x[Power Fist, CombiMelta]
Wolf Scouts: 100
5 mans, Melta, 3x MeltaBomb
Troops:
2x [Grey Hunters: 115]
5 mans, Melta, Rhino
3x [Blood Claws: 255]
15 mans, 2x Melta, Power Fist
HEAVY SUPPORT:
3x [Long Fangs: 115]
5 mans, 4x Missile Launcher
TOTAL POINTS: 2004
TOTAL MANS: 81
I believe this revisions takes care of most issues brought up regarding killing power. There is now a power fist and a melta bomb in each blood claws squad making them more than capable of addressing most monstrous creatures and vehicles. I kept the Rune Priest for his psy nulling ability as well as the cover save from storm caller. A third squad of long fangs rounds out the list with what will hopefully be just enough long range firepower. The army is still toting 12 meltas (as opposed to 14 in the first list), but has double the power fists (from 3 to 6). With 81 marines including 3 independent characters, i think its pretty nasty. Cant wait to throwdown with it!!!

Looks good. I ran Blood Claw spam in Land Raiders when the SW codex first came out because NO ONE was ready for it. That wore off quickly but BCs en mass on foot like this is a sickening sight across the table from you. Just 80 Power Armored guys is enough of a nightmare but add in their CC prowess and most armies will have a tough time cracking this nut. Be careful of MCs, Dreads, and GKs, you won't win combat against them without putting some serious wounds on pre-assault.

good points for sure. as far as the dreads go i've found its actually not that hard to get lucky with 15 krak grenades, but you're definitely right about GKs and MCs. . . we'll see what happens. 15 blood claws in an LRC was always a standard in my 3rd and 4th ed. lists, but eh I just wanted a little something different. Dont ya miss being able to pack 3 PFs in them blood pups?? God I loved the look on someones face when they thought combat was over and I still had 12 PF attacks to roll muahhahahahah
