I sent an email to Ron Saikowski of From the Warp fame to make up a Conversion model for Sarpedon, Chapter Master of the Soul Drinkers. Well, Ron sent me the final images of the finished conversion and I think it rocks! After looking at the stuff on his site, I must say I was impressed! He didn't disappoint! Check it out. As soon as he arrives I will be painting him. Anyway check him out if you want to see more--> http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/

I think he got the idea from this guy: http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2009/07/soul-drinkers-chapter-master-sarpedon.html (Hint: himself)

That is a really cool conversion. Is it sad that I've never heard of Sarpedon until just seeing this thread?

He did get the idea from that guy, hehe... I have been basically just reading Black Library stuff for awhile and the Soul Drinkers Omnibus had just come out. I was also getting into the tabletop game and hadn't chosen a scheme for my SM yet. Well I decided I was going with Soul Drinker's. I have amassed a pretty large army now, and so I decided I needed a good conversion of Sarpedon. I looked up conversions and found the one you linked. I emailed him and he agreed to do it for me. As far as just hearing about Sarpedon, well there are a lot of SM chapters, it's all good.

Hadn't heard of the character, either. Too busy drooling to bother looking him up, though. Fantastic conversion. You definitely chose the right man for the job.

That is beautiful...

I've built my SAG Big Mek based on Sarpedon's look...

...now I believe it has a new "master". Not exactly according to my plans or agreement... but hey? what can you do if someone likes it too much.
I just went for a quick smoke only... Ahh, emotions.

I really like this one - well balanced and clean conversion. Can we see it finished please?

Cheers.

Shame you didn't wait 9 more days to make it a 2-year threadomancy.

To answer your question, I posted a link to Ron's website a few posts above that shows a similar conversion that is painted by the man himself.
