Hey Dakka,

Just wanted to share my latest models with everyone.

The Vanguard Vets are all kitbashed, mostly from the Deathcompany boxset, but the bases are all custom made by me.

[Thumb - Furioso 1.jpg]
Furioso Dread - the left Blood Talon is Magnatized and can be switched for a blood fist along with the heavy flamer for the storm bolter, also the right arm can be switched for the frag cannon.

Like the Vindicator. The siege shield is very nice, and I'm liking the washing on the Marines.

Thanks for all the feed back! Until this thread I was really in a slump.

Question for the thread: Highlighting Black........Is there a good mix to use? I have just been using a straight fortress grey...

Learned something a while back and it looks great on black power armor. Highlight with Fortress Grey (or Codex Grey, depending on how light you want it), and then wash the model with Badab Black. It will dull down the highlights, and then give the black armor a matte finish. It looks very nice.

Do you have any pictures of this? I'd like to see again closeup, since I didn't get your DC out of their LR last Saturday....

Did you drybrush the hightlights or edge highlight?

Cool, I will have to give it a try. I usually wash and then highlight most of my models so this may be just the ticket on black. Thanks.
