Hello Dakkanauts,

When I first joined, I claimed I had 20,000 points of Imperial armor. That was a slight exaggeration; at the time, I had 18,000. Due to the Third Edition codex (I.E. 3x LRBT max) more than half was infantry. Now, however, after jettisoning most of my infantry and gaining but a few tanks, I have stabilized somewhere around 10,000 points... half of what I promised. At any rate, I just finished compiling all of my Guard models, and to help I placed them in my Armored regiment's TO&E.

It is rather unspecific (no upgrades listed) but total points costs for each section are listed, as is the total (somewhere around 9,800 IIRC).

Alright, I will comply, with a few caveats:

1) They are taken with an iPhone... digital cameras are for people who have money that isn't in plastic form.

2) Many things are yet unpainted; I am but one man.

Update with pics to come.

I'm sincerely impressed in that amount of armor, how much is painted, and how much of said painting is good. Why'd you get rid of your infantry? All those tanks are a lot more fun when there's guardsmen scurrying alongside them!

Check out my Youtube channel!

I got rid of my infantry because I didn't (and still don't) think I could ever will myself to paint them all.

Also, technically, it's unfluffy for an armored regiment to have more infantry than what is considered "barely sufficient."

For this many points...I can get what, 143 broadsides?

That would ruin your day, wouldn't it

Or three mantas

True. Now you just need 143 Broadsides or 3 Mantas.

And I'm not so worried about the Broadsides.

Broadsides are definitely something to worry about.

Also, I already have 2 mantas, and 12 broadsides.

I'm more afraid of Hammerheads than Broadsides - I don't know why, but every time I play against broadsides I kill one and like, a pair of drones with a single shell and the rest flee off the board. It's happened literally every time I've played against broadsides.

The Mantas, of course, are scary and rightfully so!

Hammerhead are only scary to light infantry-S6 AP4 LBT and six S5 shots a turn at BS4.

Their solid shot is not something that should be used, ever. 66% chance to get one railgun hit, whereas a broadside alone has a 75% chance to hit. And light weapons are useless against broadsides...a unit can have up to 12 wounds with 2+ saves each

How can you boast an armored company when your Motorpool only sports 10 Enginseers?

And you call yourself a treadhead...

I actually have more heavy weapons than light weapons - each tank sports its main weapon and a lascannon in most cases. I don't think I have a weapon lower than Strength 8 except on the executioners.

I actually just got a fethload more techpriests (5) from Forge World. I didn't want more than two of the mono-pose metal ones.
