Hi everyone i need opinions and help this is my second go at this type of effect. even though it's no where near finished i wanted help . Am i on the right track..???

Looks good so far - you should brighten your light-source up considerably, so the viewer knows straight away where the light is supposed to originate from.

As a rule of thumb the light-effect should always be the mid-tone of your light-source.

I'd say yes, you're definitely on the right track Bully! I know it's not finished yet but i'd say the hammer if it's the source needs to be a bit brighter, but you have the glow across the armour spot on, eerily washing over him, I don't know how you do it dude, seriously you are always one of my favorite painters out there!

Really nice, subtle effect. The tendency with OSL is to over-do it to make it obvious, but really the trick is to get it so it looks so natural people don't even notice it at first.
