I've just started a skaven army and while I've already got a 2500pt army, but thats mostly from 3 Island of Blood packs so I still want to add to it. Specifically Warplock Jezzails and Poison Wind Globadiers. These two models look cool and I think they could work well in certain games, but the prices are outrageous! $50 for three Jezzail teams and $10 for each individual Globadier model. Frankly I want to save money as I dont have a ton to spend, plus I enjoy converting.

So I need your ideas dakkaites! does any have some good ideas for making Warplock Jezzail Models of Poison wind globadiers from other kits or from scratch? thanks in advance.

Hiya, You can make cheap Jezzail team with Kroot arm and riffles.

Poison globes.... here is one that i have never seen done.
Goblin fanatics with skaven head and paint the ball and chain as gassy glass.

My idea's....thank god I've had a few drinks else this'd be impossible...
Jezzail's:
-Buy an empire handgunner unit and use two skaven/'skavenify' the handgunners (chunks of warpstone, maybe a rat head/snout), maybe even clockwork bits
-similar to the one above, really any rifle weapon can be used in a jezzail team, just skavenify it (instead of a power clip on a lasgun have a chunk of warpstone, same for plasma coils replace with warpstone, anything really)

Globadiers:
-Slingers with GS mask and an oversized shot in the sling? (use slaves kind of thing)
-similar to above, instead of sling just use whatever arms you have spare on skaven, give them a mask/hood and have them carrying 1/2/a bucket load (could be a comical conversion there, staggering/tripping with a load of globes)

Thats the best I can come up with at the moment, I gotta help cut down words on an assignment

Slingers are a really good idea Motyak and thanks for the idea of one tripping, I think that would be hilarious and potentially dangerous (probably the same thing for skaven) Just to clarify though do you mean any specific slings? I know skaven have their own sling arms so those would probably work, right?

Okay. When you put your IoB PWM together, there was an extra "globe" that could be put on the base. I suggest you remove that globe and use one of the old plague monk models to make a single rat carrying a globe. Put a gasmask head on and you've got a PWG.

As for the Jezzails, mordheim/old clanrat model with kroot rifle/arms is your best bet for cheap and easy converting.

Oh yeah! those extra globes. Haha, duh, why didnt I think of that? I'm thinking of having a team of six, that's enough right? maybe I can just get away with making the last three out of greenstuff or something, I think Plague Monk bodies will work great.

If you can, try and see if any of the old Mage Knight clix figures are still available on eBay. There was a dwarf faction (black powder?) that had steampunk stuff that might work as the PWG's backpack.

Breotan, can you read minds? I seriously have old mage knight figures. thats a great idea!... unfortunately I gave my friend the dwarfs and nature-y things and I took the undead and goldish steampunk dudes (forgot their names). Anyways though I think I figured out somethings I used the flamethrower canisters from the Imperial Guard set. I'll post pictures soon.
