3 years ago I did Deathwing and Ravenwing project. I had my friend, Don paint it up to a tabletop quality. He then went and got a full-time job. After Black Templars and Dark Angels got the recent FAQ allowing most wargear to be upgraded to current standards, I knew it was time to pull out the Deathwing, again. I had only 5-8 TH/SS in my 53 Terminator collection. Then I met Mr. Sam Lenz, at the time a GW Golden Daemon place winner, at a local store's Man Night. I saw his work and we discussed certain commissions he was doing. Talked about pricing and my need for quality painted minis. My thought is this, I spend damn good money on my figures and bits to make them look cool. I know my painting limits and want my stuff to look awesome while playing games. So I get friends who know how to paint to help me out. I buy, trim, build and base my models and then hand them off to Sam. This past Games Day in Chicago, Sam won a gold and two silver Golden Daemons. So it's awesome knowing my figs are being painted to a very high standard.

Minor update. Having a multi Golden Daemon winner, dakka's very own Samsonel, as my personal painter is pure bliss. He dropped these off on Wednesday. More to come...
