Well I hit this guy up and this is how he turned out. Im pretty happy with him. I was going for a winter theme (first for me) but at the same time not losing the dark colors that DKoK prefer. Also wanted it to be fast as painting a few platoons means lots o guys to paint. I saw some other DKoK armies out there with winter schemes and they were some outstanding looking armies. But I noticed that the painters sacrificed the "death" in death korps by lighting them up a lot (my opinion anyway). Thats what I wanted to stay away from but still get the winter feel.

I personally love it is a very different scheme and looks good.I did winter themed bases but kept to the Grey and greens on my Dkok. I like it alot please do more !

I like it, but you alo could use a very bright colour somewhere to bring up the contrast. Maybe you could paint the lower left shoulderpad a bright red.

That's what I do with my DKOK anyways... I also have red aquilas, and rank markings. (sergeants have a golden stripe on their helmets instead of the usual metal colour etc.)

I love the paint job on the mini, but I might suggest another layer of drybrush on the base to bring out the texture. Right now it appears a little flat, but that may be a trick of the lighting.

Looks good! The only things I can think of that would improve it would be a drybrush on the dirt part of the base to give it a little more depth, and picking out the aquila on the helmet in a lighter colour such as white to help bring more focus to the face.

The texture of the rest of the model looks great, and I like the choice of colours. Keep 'em coming!

I think that using a lighter grey or even white colour on the outside of the coat or painting the trousers in a darker colour would make it seem even more like a traditional high-contrast winter camouflage scheme, if you'd like to go for that.

Thanks guys! I agree with the dirt now that I look at it could use another drybrusy. Maybe Kommando Kakki? Also thinkin bout adding some bright red somewhere. But will wait till I get rest of command squad done since I think the banner will look epic with the rest of the soldiers around it and dont want to take away from it.

Actually, I'm participating in a Tournament with mine, so if you want, I can take pictures of my 1850pts army (or maybe even my whole army with 100 korpsman + command squads, engineers, grenadiers and tanks).

I would very much like to see that!
