Hey Guys, this is my latest project for my Sisters army the Virtue-class Gunship. It’s a pretty straightforward conversion using the Stormraven with the Chapterhouse kit with addition of two more missile pods under the nose. A drop pod spar with two more Stormraven engines stuck to it finished off the major items. The pilot is simply the Immo gunner mounted on the rear half and legs of the SM pilot.

The painting was a touch hit and miss, the Blood Red areas were once again the bane of my existence. This time I went for a Calthan Brown foundation layer then followed with multiple layers of thinned BR then a couple of thin layers of BR thinned with red wash to try and remove some of the streaks. If you don’t look too closely it looks fine but get up close and it’s quite not what I’d hoped for, BR over large flat areas I may have picked the wrong Order to convert vehicles for.

The black came out much better ostensibly because I used SSC’s fab painting guide for his rather lovely Raven Guard and just added a bit of dry brushing over the larger flat areas and leading edges to add some texture.

Very nice. The colour scheme works well and its looks clean and uncluttered. Very good actually. Have you posted any pics of the rest of your army yet? I'd like it. Send me the link if you have.

REALLY NICE! I dig the color scheme and buffed up hull. It actually looks like an Stormraven. Good work!
