Brand new to mini war gaming and due to a recently discovered gaming community(30+ people) I decided to go with WM/H and I think Cygnar is where I wanna start.

I REALLY like mechs so I know I'll be a bit warjack heavy and I want the ones with the most BFGs(Big fething Guns). That being said I want some not useless, but essentially meatshield infantry to protect my warcaster while my warjacks lay waste.

Soooooo....Since I have no clue what I'm doing what are some unit suggestions?

Thanks!

I don't mean to burst your bubble or anything, but Cygnar's warjacks generally don't function that way, at least not IMHO. If all you want is the big guns, then as far as heavy jacks go the Defender is great. It has a very solid gun and it can still punch stuff. You can also look at the Cyclone which is packing two chain guns and smacks things with its open fists. It works great against infantry, but isn't great against most jacks.

For lights you will definitely want to invest in several Chargers. These are great little jacks that can really pour on the firepower, but they are also very, very focus hungry.

I think you should look at your casters as ways to really drive how effective your jacks are. eNemo, Kraye, Hayley and Stryker are all good jack casters. I would suggest starting with the Cygnar Battle Box. It is very solid, and pStryker is a great intro cast. As a suggestion, I wouldn't discount Cygnar's infantry, they can pack quite a punch, and are extremely effective when properly used.

How is it they live in such harmony - the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know.

defenders and hunters have the most impact of any single-shot direct fire guns. The charger is also good if you have the focus. The cyclone is good at anti-infantry but dose not pack much of a punch so be ready to use this one for great effect fo it's specialty, but in a more narrow application. The stormclad is best known for it's melee punch but dose have a ranged attack and makes a great hybrid jack. The two unreleased wrath jacks -minuteman and avenger- seem like they will be quite good at gimicky shooting too. I can't really suggest the firefly or grenadier for a new player since both need specialized infantry support to shine.
If you are looking a tarpit unit try sword knights or mercenary steellhead halberdiers. You might want to invest a few more points and try stormguard or precursor knights though, as both units have ranked attacks and won't block your own los.
