Still not done with Deliverance Lost, one bit seemed odd and I cannot find a source for this unfamiliar name of a vehicle.
In his writings of the events at istvaan, Corax lists a few things and amongst it some transports.

Here:

Spoiler:

Deliverance Lost / page 159

.....
He remembered in exact detail the initial fleet manoeuvres performed to encircle the ships of the Warmaster, even as
drop-pods , Hawkwings , Thunderhawks and Stormbirds were redied for the assault below.
....

To list the known ones, was expected. But the other ?
Were there more than 2 types of flyers around? Or a mistake by the author?
Maybe a hint on flyers to come?

It's probably just one of the many vehicles that might eventually exist. I mean, now there is "historical" precedent for a new flyer model. Can hardly call that a "mistake".

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Considering one book, I think Galaxy In Flames, referanced razorbacks twice it could easily be a typo.

It might be a vechile used by the Astrates. Because they never explained anything smaller than a Stormbird. Because Thunderhawks weren't made until after the Emperor sat on the golden throne to make the webway.

There have been others too. I can't remember which book, but it definitely referred to some 'Stormhawks'

It seems that there are probably a few different models of HH-era Space Marine flyer, or that different legions have different names for them. There's also the void fighters used by the Legions.

Thunderhawk
Stormbird
Hurricanesparrow
Tornadopenguin
etc.

BEST IDEA EVER!
I WILL GIVE SOMEONE AN Awesome link if they make a photo of a penguin with blocky features and a gun on the top of it and spray painted Tornadopenguin maxmimus Imperator.

Of course knowing some writers that will happen O.o

Hawkwing could be some kind of drop pod with more advanced guidance system that allows it do navigate longer distances, something between a drop pod and a stormbird.

And, MUST MAKE TORNADOPENGUIN!

I remember that Stormhawk too
Gw seems to like Storm... bird, raven, hammer, blade, sword, etc so I was expecting a Stormhawk to appear...out of the blue.. then was the
Stormraven 'found'. But this time its different. There was no need to put this Hawkwing in. The established Thunderhqawks/Stormbirds and droppods are all they need.
To sneak in a new flyer wouldn't be too bad
Taking the order as a hint, pod ( 10 ), Hawkwing ( ? ) , Thunderhawk ( 30 ) , Stormbird ( 100 ) there as place, even with a StormRaven ( 12 ) as unknown vehicle in that era. Looking forward to a fire-support "gunship" coming our way....
