Are you allowed to deploy units within 1" from a board edge?

What if you are playing on a 6' by 4' table, and a unit is more than 12" long wise?

The Restrictions I Put On My Tallarn Lists:
- Missile Launchers are the only HW teams allowed in Infantry Squads.
- All units able to take the FW Desert Raider special rule, must take it in lists of 750 points or more.
- 1 unit of 10 Rough Riders is required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- 2 units of Mukaali Rough Riders are required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- No vehicles besides Chimera Armoured Transports and Hydra Flak Tank Batteries are allowed.
- Al'Rahem is required in lists of 1000 points or more.

Well the edge isn't in the list you must be 1" away from (units, terrain), as for the other question i'm afraid you'll just have to deploy in a shorter formation

Battle for the Pass defines the long edges as impassable terrain. There you have to keep 1" away, but that's because the long edges are impassable terrain, not because they're table edges. No other scenario in the rulebook defines the edges in any way, so there you're free to get as close to them as you want.
