So ive played Ogres for---well since they came out originally as my main WHFB army, ive played many others but have always felt drawn to Brettonia... i dont like putting peasents in the list simply because they dont fit the look...i like theme and am currently working on these and my 40k army now that my OK are finished!!

Well congratulations on gaining your chivalry fellow knight.

A few things. We Brettonians have a special rule allowing us access to a special formation. The Lance, 3 models wide so your units ideally need to be multiples of 3! That said obviously units of 8 are common as you can add a character. I wouldn't recommend bigger then 9 otherwise you'll take up too much room a unit of 12 measures 15" if I recall.

Characters.... too many options to accurately list but I tend to take a level 4 with Heavens,Level 2 with beasts, BSB with a rerollable 2+ and 5+ ward on top and if points allow a HKB Lord to insta kill monsters, steam tanks ect.

I'll write up a guide later for you to ponder over as I haven't even touched on the different Knighly units and uses.

The extra nights where just to buff up the units/points and so shield them also vs magic/shooting on the charge...

I like the Green night and think beasts works amazingly wel, not a fan of heavens

So KoTR. The armies workhorse. I never field in unit sizes of less then (9 inc Character) 8. Also due to the deployment zone size do I go larger as I love Bowmen and trebuchets.Tactically I look for a 3rd round dual charge into most if not all units.

I also like to get a wildform off on 1 or 2 units on the turn they chargeas T4, As2, 6++ knights are incredibly hard to kill with 2 units in comat they can usually remove steadfast (after shooting).


Knight Errants. My monster hunters. Immune to fear on the charge and with Banner of Errantry S6 on the charge. I block LOS with another unit such as Grail Relique to stop them charging off when I don't want them too. When they hit they hit hard..... and thats about it. Careful play will reward you with these guys. If no monsters are present they guard my trebs and archers.


Pegasus Knights. I love this unit. They have so many uses. War machine hunters, suicide squad (charge in asap and take out mages, bsbs ect) 165 for 3. Bargain. I could waffle on for ages.and might do later.

Questing Knights. The ONLY knighs I field not in lance formation. They strike last so get used as speed bumps. Or monster hunyers, or flankers another article in its own right again.

Grail Knights. Magical attacks and each can accept and issue challenges. But I don't use them. I like trebuchets in my rare and spend lots in special

I can't say I'm very familiar with the Brettonian Army Book. But I must say as an opposing army player (wood elves), the sight of all that heavy and medium cavalry on the table would more than likely make me pick up my models and go home
