Hey ladies and gents. Hope all is well with you! As the title states, I'm a bit new to the Dakka boards, so I felt I should bite the bullet and post some of my own work here. I'm still tweaking my lightbox, but I'm happy with how these turned out so I thought I'd share.

First up is Snaggletooth (so named for his shorter damaged tooth) - a Dire Troll Mauler from Privateer Press.

Next up is an Impaler I painted around the same time. I was really happy with how he turned out.

Please let me know what you guys think. I'm always looking to improve on my painting and photography. Thanks for taking a moment to look!

I was all like "hmmm, a new poster. I must remember to be nice to him to spare his feelings."

And then, I thought, "Damn, these are really good. Where has this guy been hiding?"

Finally I got to the bottom of the post and realized you were a commission painter using dakka to shill for your work.

Well done, sir. Nice job on the models, they look good. I hope folks give you lots and lots of money.

Nice work. You've managed to make (what I think are) some pretty hideous models look nice. I like the blue skin a lot.

Avoiding Dakka until they get serious about dealing with their troll problem

Haha, I'm not sure if you are favorable or non-favorable to my post, but since I'm new here I'll err on the side of friendship and say thanks! Seriously, if you have any pointers at all I'm all for it. I love painting and constantly strive to improve. Thank you for your kinds words.

Really? I've always loved the DTM! To each their own I suppose. Thank you for the feedback!

I meant it favorably. I wish I had half your skill, on the realz. What brand of paints do you use? Specifically, your choice of blues? I've been looking into a Tau army and want to primarily do lighter colors, and I like the shades of blue you have here.

Thank you! I use a mix of GW and P3 paints. For these particular models, the skintones were from the P3 paint line. Trollblood Base, Trollblood Highlight, and Underbelly Blue primarily. If I remember correctly I laid down Trollblood base, laid a wash of Devlin Mud and Asurmen Blue (which looking back was a bit too dark to be honest), then layered up by mixing in Trollblood highlight into the base. The palms and belly were painted by layering Underbelly blue into the highlights as well.

Hope this helps!
