Subject: My Opinion On Why Tau Threads Get Bashed

Ancient Venerable Dreadnought

My parents told me something while I was in elementary. Apparently, when people are told the truth about something and don't want accept it, they get angry. And apparently, when those same people get angry, it only makes other people want to provoke them.
When you tell Imperials that their Imperium is cruel and oppressive, they'll just shrug it off and accept it, since they know all too well how grimdark the Imperium is. When Chaotics and Tyranids are told that their faction is a monstrosity, they'll also shrug it off, since that's just one reason why they favor that faction. When Eldar and Dark Eldar are told their factions are capricious and self-centered, come on everyone, the Eldar are like that just as the Imperium is grimdark. The Orks: barbaric, savage, uncivilized brutes. But you don't see Ork fans going into rage when told so. Orks are the most fun to play with and argue with, simply because they're like that. Necrons are cold and soulless, but that's no problem for their fans. On the other hand, when Tau fans are bashed, they go all out trying to justify the Tau's actions and try to prove the Tau are better than everyone else since they're not grimdark, and how one day they'll replace the Imperium since they're like that. When someone tries to contradict them, they get all angry. No wonder fans of other factions just love provoking Tau fans and in Tau threads.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.
'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.' |

I am a Tau fan and I very much apply the greater good to my management job and it seems to work, but it's just a game I know this. The Tau are not real and who cares when you really bring it down to reality. People who get worked up about such a thing just need to get laid or need to get a life......

Yeah, but there are Tau fans out there who get real angry (which is why it's fun to bash them) simply because they can't accept it when the Tau's not so good nature is revealed.

If you're having fun because they get "real angry", why try to rationalize now? Have some fun man! unless that's what you're trying to do...
quite a vicious circle you got yourself there

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
