These are my 4 spec ops fire warriors
, I'm pretty happy with how they look execept would like crouching legs for the fusion blaster one, and mabey try something different for the burst cannon. But other then that pretty simple stuff, any comments would be appriciated especially on the burst cannon, I'm thinking of giving him a more lmg looking gun instead.

This what I'm thinking of replacing the burst cannon with

The conversions look good, but backgroundwise they are problematic:
1.) There is a reason why some weapons are mounted on vehicles or power armour/Suits only: They are too heavy and/or have too much recoil.
2.) Tau are reknown to not follow the "heavy weapon in infantry squad" tactic. They use masses of Crisis Suits plus vehicles for that and do not mix light with heavy weaponry.

They look really good, but the burst cannon looks a little too big on them. Maybe you could make a compact version later.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Maybe try a weapon team of two minis to operate the cannon

The weapons are mounted well, colour scheme is nice and crisp, I like it. As regards a fluff perspective, Tau military doctrine is constantly evolving and fire warriors often get the short straw or testing new advances in technology, the rail rifle for example was first deployed in pathfinder and fire warrior units and extended combat with imperial military forces might have influenced their desicion to minituarize their weapons technology for increased mobility.

I mean tau battlesuits dont exactly scream Behin enemy lines/Stelath/Spec ops do they?

Addendum, yes I know about stealth suits but lets face it their deployed in a battle scenario for short term interference not long term operations.

But yeah I like em... your right though swap the burst cannon for a sniper rifle or a missile pod.

Imho that burst cannon isnt amazingly well monted but the other stuff is kewl.
Tau fluff dictates that as a part of their combat strategy each unit has its own purpose. Each unit servers one purpose rather than everything being able to do multiple things and confusing the strategy. All work together to find the way forward.
IIRC the way fire teams bring in heavy weapons is through those heavy gun drones. (Drone with two burst cannons)

I like the idea, but it looks a little too awkward. Tau having a heavy weapon squad (If those can really even count ) seems off.

Blood Lance is right. Each has their own purpose, and in my opinion mixing with Tau is kind of hard to do, and doesn't work well.

I still dont think its too "out there" besides when rail rifles first came out they were squad upgrade for pathrinder and firewarrior teams, they were SWITCHED to drone operated after the target locks kept overloading and killing the operator. Ultimately with accurate weapons tau fire caste generally prefer to pull the trigger as their better shots than drones...

Other than that Tau combat methodology has evolved plenty since their inception and to say that tau combat doctrine beleives in rigid roles seems a bit strange considering at the most basic level their suits represent the pinacle of 40k flexibility. Other than that pull out the "Farsight Enclave " argument, O'Shovah aint a great fan of drones and is probably running short on battlesuits, dedicated heavy weapons squads seem like a fairly logical solution, and lets face it he threw established tau military tactics out of the window ages ago

thats why i was thinking more of a speacil ops/ stealth suit replacment. i tried to give them a wepon to deal with any enemy unit they might come upon by going behind enemy lines. i think im going to replace the burst cannon with the light machine gun style pulse rifle. thanks for all the comments.
